    Meal Plan Monday | Jan 28 – Feb 10

Hey guys! Welcome back to Meal Plan Monday! I can’t believe we are about to jump into February! We actually don’t go out to eat on Valentine’s Day, but I am planning a romantic dinner for Shae and I so be on the lookout for that!

So here is what the next two weeks are looking like:

Monday Jan 28: Crockpot BBQ Chicken – I still have a package of chicken legs in the freezer as well as a bottle of bbq sauce leftover so I figured I would make some bbq chicken legs! Our favorite BBQ sauce is Sweet Baby Ray’s sweet & spicy. It’s so good! Truthfully, I’m not a big fan of BBQ sauce but I will eat any BBQ with this sauce. This is a really simple dinner: throw your chicken legs into the crockpot with your favorite BBQ sauce and cook on low for 4-6 hours and serve with your favorite side dishes!

    Meal Plan Monday | Jan 14 – Jan 27

Hey guys, I am back with Meal Plan Monday! You can view previous posts here. I took some time off of these posts solely because we were out of town for over two whole weeks and I didn’t think it was fair to not put my all into the posts. I figured skipping it all together would be better and coming back in the full swing of things. So without further ado, let’s get into it!

This year, my goal is try to and really budget every month on groceries. We spend A LOT on groceries, so you may notice some cheaper meal options for dinner and/or some repeats. You don’t have to follow every single week, this is just to help anyone out who may need some meal ideas!

Monday Jan 14: One Pot Cajun Pasta – This recipe is so dang good, you guys! I highly recommend trying it fin The Blond Cook. I often switch up which sausage we use. Sometimes we use the Cajun sausage, sometimes turkey sausage and other times I will use kielbasa. You can use whatever sausage you have on hand/or on sale and you can use whatever pasta you have, as well. Because this is somewhat of a heavy dish, we will probably have a small side salad with it!

    Meal Plan Monday!

I am back with round 2 of meal plan Monday! If you need even more inspiration on meal ideas, check out my last Meal Plan Monday here!

    The Ingredients

Before I plan out my meals and go grocery shopping, I like to first make a list of ingredients I already have on hand that would make a meal. This is a huge tip and will save you money! When I checked the cupboards and refrigerator, I had the following:

    • pork chops
    • small steak rounds
    • hamburger meat
    • chicken legs
    • white & brown rice

From here, I will make a list of meals that have these ingredients in them and fill in the days of the week.

So here is what it is looking like for the next two weeks in our household!
*Disclaimer* Once again, we have plans to be out of town for a few of the days because of it being the holidays. Once the holidays are over, we will not be traveling so much and I will have two full weeks of meals planned. I hope you understand!

    Meal Plan Monday! | Nov 19 – Dec 2

    Welcome to Meal Plan Monday!

Every other Monday I plan out our dinners for the next two weeks. I have some staples that I make often, but I also spend a lot of time on Pinterest looking at other people’s meal plans and searching for recipes. I figured since I am already investing the time, why not help someone else by sharing my own meal plans. Be sure to subscribe so you don’t miss out on future meal plan Monday posts!

    The Process

Before I plan out my meals and go grocery shopping, I like to first make a list of ingredients I already have on hand that would make a meal. This is a huge tip and will save you money! When I checked the cupboards and refrigerator, I had the following:

    • a package of gnocchi
    • white & brown rice
    • linguine pasta noodles
    • several cans of tuna fish
    • frozen turkey burgers
    • brats

From here, I will make a list of meals that have these ingredients in them and fill in the days of the week. If I ever get stumped on what to make for a day or two, I will think of a theme for that specific day of the week. As you know, we do Soup Sundays in this house! (Be sure to checkout my latest Soup Sunday Recipe where I made Crockpot Baked Potato Soup).

A sample of themes for the week might be:
    • Monday- Meatless Monday
    • Tuesday- Taco Tuesday
    • Wednesday- Pasta night
    • Thursday- Crockpot Meal
    • Friday- Pizza night (order in or make homemade)
    • Saturday- Seafood Saturday
    • Sunday- Soup Sunday

So I planned out the next two weeks, but we will be out of town for a few days, as it is Thanksgiving week this week! We will be spending this Thanksgiving with Shae’s family near Portland, Oregon and we are so excited. Here is what I came up with for the next two weeks:
