I am a huge sucker for going all out for the holidays! Especially now that I am a mom, I want to make every holiday as special as I can. I know not everyone is for Valentine’s Day, but… I am! So I rounded up 15 sweet treats to make this February ranging from kids treats, to snacks, to alcoholic beverages and even a treat for the dogs in your life!
Raspberry White Hot Chocolate – This looks SO good. I am dying to try this yummy pink drink. Also, how cute and perfect is it for Valentine’s Day? This would be a perfect treat in the morning or something to enjoy before bed!
Feeding a toddler can be a little frustrating at times. They become picky, they like one thing one day and hate it the next, you want to make sure they aren’t eating junk, are getting enough fruits & veggies & whole grains. Are they eating enough? Is that too many snacks for the day?
I wanted to share with you guys a little glimpse of what my 18 month old, Everlee, would typically eat in a day. Every single day is different, so I might make this a monthly post to give you guys different meals to make your toddlers. I’m pretty simple – I won’t sit here and say I make her extravagant meals every day, because truthfully she feeds our dog at half of her lunch and dinner most of the time. So here is what her day of eating looked like on this particular day:
8am: Everlee wakes up between 7:30/8am every morning and I try to have breakfast cooked for her before she wakes up. She is always really hungry first thing and wants to eat right away. Eggs are one of her favorite foods, so she eats eggs almost every morning. Especially because it’s one of the only foods she will eat that has a good amount of protein in it. So this morning she had scrambled eggs, a couple mini Kodiak Cakes Pancakes with butter and half a banana. I like to keep a stash of pancakes in the freezer to easily heat up in the morning. She loves these pancakes and they are packed with protein! Banana because the girl loves bananas. Everlee also gets a cup of whole milk with every meal.
On Christmas Eve, I wanted to throw some kind of warm dip together. I have never made buffalo chicken dip but figured I would give it a try and surprisingly, it actually turned out amazing so I figured I would share with you all!
I am back with another soup recipe that we tried out last weekend on our Soup Sunday tradition. Chicken Gnocchi Soup from Olive Garden is one of my favorite soups of all time and since Shae isn’t a big fan of Olive Garden, I figured I would try to make it myself. Now, I didn’t attempt any copycat Olive Garden breadsticks, but I did throw in some biscuits in the oven that ended up being delicious dipped in the soup. This is a must!
Crockpot Chicken Gnocchi Soup
Recipe fromScrummy Lane (I changed a few things when I made it)
One of my favorite things about the holidays is all the baking that goes on. As a tradition, my mom has always liked to bake a bunch of her favorite holiday treats and give them out on a cute Christmas platter to friends and family, so this year we compiled a list of a few favorites alongside some new ones! We are getting together soon for a full day of baking to put these together, and I am so excited about it. So be sure to look out for the final product in a future post! Continue reading
This fall, I started a Soup Sunday tradition at our house. So I have been making soups in the crockpot every Sunday that we are home for quite awhile now. Yesterday I am threw together a Baked Potato Soup and loaded it with our favorite toppings. I love Sundays because I usually throw all my ingredients in the crockpot right before lunch and we can smell it cooking the rest of the day day while we are snacking and watching football!
