Happy Friday, friends! If you live in the PNW, did you enjoy the snow this week? We sure did! We thought we completely missed out on snow this winter so it was quite the surprise.
ONE: We have spent A LOT of time coloring this week. We gave Everlee one book she can color in and it’s ginormous! We really need to get crayons but she really loves these colored pencils and she’s getting so good at holding them!
This is only Everlee’s second Valentine’s Day, but I remember how difficult it was to find gifts for her at only seven month old and even now so at 19 months old! Lots of people say that they are too young and won’t rememeber, and while that is true, I am a holiday freak and I plan to get my kiddos a little something. Most of the gifts I put on this gift guide have several other color options, but for the sake of the collage, I picked pink and/or red items.
Considering Valentine’s Day is next week, I wanted to throw together a little gift guide for girls of all ages! Honestly, any of the gifts I put in there could be used for teen girls, all the way up to more mature women. If you’re in a slump and have no idea what to get your wife, girlfriend, daughter, friend or coworker, any of these gifts would be great!
I am a huge sucker for going all out for the holidays! Especially now that I am a mom, I want to make every holiday as special as I can. I know not everyone is for Valentine’s Day, but… I am! So I rounded up 15 sweet treats to make this February ranging from kids treats, to snacks, to alcoholic beverages and even a treat for the dogs in your life!
Raspberry White Hot Chocolate – This looks SO good. I am dying to try this yummy pink drink. Also, how cute and perfect is it for Valentine’s Day? This would be a perfect treat in the morning or something to enjoy before bed!
Happy Friday, everyone! I hope you all had a great week. While I’m looking forward to the weekend, we are sad because Shae has staff duty all day Saturday and won’t be home until Sunday. Since the Super Bowl is Sunday, we are just going to have a low-key day but have a bunch of snacks all day. I hope you guys eat all the yummy treats you can!
ONE: Shae’s mom came and visited last weekend. We just had a relaxing time at the house and visited. We ended up taking a nice walk down to the lake and letting Penelope go swimming. It was FREEZING, but she didn’t care. Everlee always enjoys going on walks and throwing rocks in the lake. She is so stinking cute!!
Drunk Elephant TLC Framboos Glycolic Night Serum – I bough the mini size of this and it came with their Marula Facial Oil as well, but unfortunately the oil breaks me out! This night serum is amazing and I hate to even say it because the full size is $90!! But with that being said, if you have textured, uneven skin, you will love this stuff! I noticed pretty immediately how much smoother my skin was after using it. I also regally appreciate it because I have very sensitive and it hasn’t been to harsh for me! I will be purchasing the full size… soonish. Haha!
L’Oréal Pro Glow Foundation – An oldy but a goody! This has been one of my favorite foundations forever. It doesn’t cling to my dry patches, it is affordable and their lightest shade is a great shade match for me!
Touch in Sol No Poreblem Primer– I purchased this when it was recently new to the market and loved it, but then didn’t repurchase. I just repurchased it again and LOVE it. It’s also so affordable on Amazon! I got mine for $10-12!
Maybelline Fit Me Concealer – While this isn’t the most full coverage concealer out there, it does the job and is probably my favorite drug store concealer. This is always my go-to if I run out of my Tarte Shape Tape and can’t make it to Ulta.
Hey guys! Welcome back to Meal Plan Monday! I can’t believe we are about to jump into February! We actually don’t go out to eat on Valentine’s Day, but I am planning a romantic dinner for Shae and I so be on the lookout for that!
So here is what the next two weeks are looking like:
Monday Jan 28: Crockpot BBQ Chicken – I still have a package of chicken legs in the freezer as well as a bottle of bbq sauce leftover so I figured I would make some bbq chicken legs! Our favorite BBQ sauce is Sweet Baby Ray’s sweet & spicy. It’s so good! Truthfully, I’m not a big fan of BBQ sauce but I will eat any BBQ with this sauce. This is a really simple dinner: throw your chicken legs into the crockpot with your favorite BBQ sauce and cook on low for 4-6 hours and serve with your favorite side dishes!
Happy Friday, everyone! I hope you all had a great week. As usual, we are so excited for the weekend! We have a fun few days ahead of us.
ONE: Shae had a four day weekend last weekend but unfortunately, Shae and Everlee were sick and miserable. So most of it was spent watching movies and cuddling.
TWO: Everlee looks like Chris Farley here and it KILLS me. Also, how cool is she in her KISS shirt? This girl blows my mind every day. She learns a new word almost every day now it seems like. She never really had a bottle so I feel like she never really said “baba” like most toddlers do. So this week she has been saying “baba” for her babies bottle, “ball,” and “papa” for grandpa. We’ve also been working on our colors, so we will see how she progresses!
Feeding a toddler can be a little frustrating at times. They become picky, they like one thing one day and hate it the next, you want to make sure they aren’t eating junk, are getting enough fruits & veggies & whole grains. Are they eating enough? Is that too many snacks for the day?
I wanted to share with you guys a little glimpse of what my 18 month old, Everlee, would typically eat in a day. Every single day is different, so I might make this a monthly post to give you guys different meals to make your toddlers. I’m pretty simple – I won’t sit here and say I make her extravagant meals every day, because truthfully she feeds our dog at half of her lunch and dinner most of the time. So here is what her day of eating looked like on this particular day:
8am: Everlee wakes up between 7:30/8am every morning and I try to have breakfast cooked for her before she wakes up. She is always really hungry first thing and wants to eat right away. Eggs are one of her favorite foods, so she eats eggs almost every morning. Especially because it’s one of the only foods she will eat that has a good amount of protein in it. So this morning she had scrambled eggs, a couple mini Kodiak Cakes Pancakes with butter and half a banana. I like to keep a stash of pancakes in the freezer to easily heat up in the morning. She loves these pancakes and they are packed with protein! Banana because the girl loves bananas. Everlee also gets a cup of whole milk with every meal.
