At the end of November, I joined a 12 Days of Christmas Blog swap hosted by Angie over at My So-Called Chaos. The idea behind this is that you’re paired up with a fellow blogger, and you each exchange 12 gifts to open up on the 12 days leading to Christmas. I was so excited for this and have loved opening up a gift every single day.
I ended up being paired with a girl named McKenzie and she was so much fun to shop for. You can check out her blog here! Go give her some love and support and tell her I sent you! 😉
On December 14th, I woke up and opened my first gift first thing that morning. What can I say, I was really excited to start. I picked one of the bugger gifts she sent and ended up getting the most adorable shadow box calendar. It is already on my desk now, but I’m excited to start using it for the new year!
Today’s gift was some Brightening Hydrogel Under Eye Patches. The packaging is so cute and I won’t lie, I am so excited for these. What girl doesn’t love a little self-care? And what mom doesn’t have under eye bags? I bet they will feel amazing and cooling under the eyes since they are gel!
I was so happy to open this cute ornament pretty early on because I got to put it on our tree! When we take down our decorations, I think I will write McKenzie’s name and the date on it so every year I have this little keep sake to look back on.
Honestly, I really am not a fan of chocolate but this pregnancy has me wanting anything sweet! So I was not disappointed to open this salted caramel chocolate from Ghirardelli. I am saving this for a rainy day.
Today’s gift was a red colored Ink Velvet Lip tint and a peppermint chapstick. You cannot go wrong with chapstick, especially peppermint flavored, and this lip tint was perfect for Christmas Day! Nothing screams holidays like a bright red lip.
Okay, I might have squealed when I opened this one! Definitely my favorite gift I recieved. I am saving it for the new year but I was eyeing these at Target while doing Christmas shopping this year and so many times wanted to snag one for myself. I am so excited to get started on this!
One of the things I learned about McKenzie when we started was that she has her own vegan eyeshadow company. I thought it was so sweet of her to send me two of her shadows and let me try them out. I have been saving these to try out on New Years because the shades she sent me will go perfectly. She sent me the shades Stargazer, which is a pinkish Orange and Rukmani, which is a shimmery goldish Brown color. I am excited to give these a try and you can check out her Etsy shop at Printcess Makeup.
Oh my gosh, this girl with the self-care! I am loving it! She somehow nailed it on the chalkboard because I have very dry skin and she got me masks that are for dry skin. Beyond thrilled to get these!
Can you even go wrong with bath salts? Especially considering I’m approaching 30 weeks pregnant. I could really go for a warm and relaxing bath.
Truthfully, I am awful about keeping up with my nails. With that being said, nothing inspires me more to keep up with them when I get a beautiful new nail polish! I’ve never used bail jewels but these seem really fun to try out for special occasions. In fact, I will probably try them out on New Years!
This was such a fun experience and I am so happy to have been apart of it. Please go check out McKenzie’s blog and her Etsy shop and give her a big hello! ☺️
